On behalf of Hinchinbrook, I would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Ingham Daily Press on the publication of the first edition of their online newspaper.
As someone who supports a free and flourishing media, it is wonderful to see another voice establish itself within the Herbert River District that will allow our community to share their stories.
I would like to commend the news team on their hard work so far on social media, where they have already hit the ground running with sports reports, community stories and agricultural news.
As media continues to face the challenges of digital disruption worldwide, it is comforting to know we have a locally based outlet that will be delivering important news that affects the community.
I wish the team at Ingham Daily Press every success in their new endeavor.
