Herbert river mills – week 19 update

Just under 191,000 tonnes of cane were crushed for the week, bringing the total tonnes crushed to more than 3 million tonnes.

Average weekly CCS remains below budget at 12.88 units, with the season to date average at 12.7 units.

The continuation of repairs to the failed Victoria B-side trash bar impacted crushing rate early in the week.

Victoria’s A-side mill will undergo a 12 hour scheduled maintenance stop this Wednesday 27 October.

With about a month remaining until the end of the 2021 season, road users are again reminded of the dangers associated with cane trains.

Please use your train brain. Do not encroach upon the cane rail network and always give way to cane trains.
