IT’S now ten wins on the bounce for Ingham’s women as they won two matches in three days.

A hatful of goals were scored as the girls beat Wulguru 7-1 and that win was followed by a 2-nil victory over Saints.

Akema Greenaway and Jade Nucifora each grabbed a brace while Aimee Godfrey, Brooke McLeod and Rebecca Pace scored one-a-piece against Wulguru.

The one name missing from the scoresheet was prolific captain Kirrily Low – but she grabbed both goals in the match against Saints.

Coach Rodeny Fascetti said the latter fixture was played in baking temperatures and that he was proud of the girls’ efforts.

He said: ‘We’re gelling at the moment. I told the girls they were good enough and they have responded.’

Greenaway was full of praise for her coach.

She said: ‘Rodney listens to us and gets us working as a team – we all enjoy playing for him.’

Greenaway is second in the golden boot ladder, having scored 13 this season. Low is top with 17.

Ingham are six points clear of Brothers, having played a game more, and travel to play third placed MA Olympic in Townsville tonight.
