Update: Tragedy as Townsville man missing near Charters Towers found deceased

Upate: A 64-YEAR-OLD man who is originally from Long Pocket in Abergowrie has sadly been found deceased.

Malcolm McKell was last sighted on 29 April near Charters Towers.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time.

Police had appealed for public assistance to locate the man, who was last sighted driving a white 2007 Holden Rodeo with Queensland registration 352AN7 two days ago.

He is originally from Long Pocket in Abergowrie, Hinchinbrook.

Police and family held concern for Malcolm’s welfare as he had not returned to his in Bushland Beach, or contacted family which is out of character.

There are no suspicious circumstances to the death.
