IF there is a secret recipe for success in business, it starts with picking the right ingredients.
The cream of the crop at the recent Hinchinbrook Business Awards was young, local and aspiring entrepreneur Hayden Di Bella from Di Bella Produce who took out top honours being awarded the NQIB Hinchinbrook Business of the Year.
Hayden is an aspiring farmer who specialises in growing fresh sweet potatoes, pumpkins other fresh fruit and vegetables on the family’s property on the outskirts of the Ingham district.
The Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce celebrated its second Hinchinbrook Business Awards last Thursday the 29 July.
The successful event was held at the Royal Hotel in Ingham and the guests walked the red carpet and were interviewed by local business owner from Wild Local Prawns and chamber member Rebecca Zaghini.
The mayor of the Hinchinbrook region, Ramon Jayo, and the Honourable Bob Katter addressed the crowd during the evening and assisted with the presentation of the certificates for nominees and awards for the winners of each category.
Chamber President Rachael Coco said: ‘I’m thrilled with the 2021 instalment of the awards which, showcased and recognised excellence in the local business community’.
The awards were an unequivocal success that celebrated local success stories and paid tribute to the passion and dedication of local entrepreneurs.
Rachael Coco – Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce President
‘Each and every nominee should be proud of their accomplishments and the winners deserve to hold their heads high – they stood out in truly exceptional field which is a feat in itself.
‘The sponsors, judges, suppliers, caterers, venue and special guest, the Honorable Bob Katter, also deserved praise.
‘Events like this don’t happen without many hands providing invaluable support. I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed towards the Hinchinbrook Business Awards and especially thankful for the tireless efforts of Chamber’s Management Committee.’
The event was photographed by talented local photographer Mostyn Swain from Photo Graphic Artisan, who kindly donated his time by covering the event and provided all attendees with complimentary photos from the evening as a keepsake.
