Herbert river mills – week 20 update

Almost 200,000 tonnes of cane were crushed for the week, bringing the season-to-date total to just over 3.2 million tonnes.

A slight increase in CCS took the weekly average to 13 units for the first time this crushing season, with the season-to-date average sitting at 12.72 units.

Victoria’s B-side mill will have a 12-hour cleaning intermission on Tuesday 2 November.

Based on a final crop estimate of 3.89 million tonnes, no further rain disruptions and normal factory operations, harvesting is currently expected to continue until Wednesday 24 November.

Growers are once again reminded to compare the physical areas remaining for harvest with what is listed in their field book on GrowerWeb.

Any discrepancies should be reported to Wilmar Sugar on 4776 4390.
