Herbert river mills – week 10 update

Just under 173,500 tonnes of cane was crushed for the week.

Average CCS levels remain below budget at 12.91 units.

Season-to-date CCS rose very slightly by 0.05 units from the previous week and is now at 12.51 units.

Continued wet weather conditions persist across the Herbert region, impeding consistent harvesting operations.

Maintenance crews have used these cane supply shortfalls to bring forward cleaning intermissions and perform early scheduled maintenance at the mills.

A near hit with a haul-out tractor during the week highlights the need to approach all rail crossings with caution and always give way to cane trains.
